Autopilot Points
How points are earned, what Coins unlock, and how the program works: from Season 0 through Season 1.
Overview
The Points Program rewards both past and ongoing participation in Autopilot and Barter routing. Points are accumulated through on-chain activity and reflect your contribution to the protocol's liquidity and trading volume.

Coins vs Points Coins are a separate currency used to unlock upgrades in the Coin Tree, which applies multipliers to your points. Points are your activity score — the higher your points, the larger your share of the future reward.
Season 0
Retroactive Snapshot
Season 0 is already calculated and distributed. It was a single snapshot taken at program launch, rewarding wallets for historical activity across four independent pools. The earlier and more actively you participated in the Barter and Ethereum ecosystem, the more Coins you received.
Swap Volume - Rewarded all wallets that traded in DeFi all time.
OG wallet - Rewarded wallets that participated in Ethereum's ICO or were active DeFi participants during DeFi Summer 2020
Barter Routing - Rewarded wallets that traded volume through the Barter routing protocol. Includes volume milestones and bonuses for diversity of trading pairs and early adoption.
Early Autopilot - Rewarded liquidity providers who supplied positions in Autopilot before the program launch. Factors include volume generated, duration of LP, number of positions, and transaction count.
Early UI Swapper - Rewarded users who performed swaps through the Barter UI before program launch. Factors include cumulative volume, number of active days, pair diversity and volume milestones.
Season 0 Advantage Coins earned in Season 0 are immediately available in the Coin Tree from Day 1 of Season 1. Early participants gain a head start on multipliers before later participants have had a chance to earn Coins through Achievements.
Season 1
Earning Points Daily
Season 1 runs continuously. Points are calculated automatically on a regular basis for your activity over the previous period. There are four ways to earn points, each with different rates and caps.
1. Provide Liquidity (TVL)
Hold an active position in Autopilot. Points accumulate based on the value of assets in your position over time. You do not need to actively trade, simply having a position is enough. The larger the position and the longer it is held, the more points accrue. There is no upper limit.
2. Generate Volume in Autopilot
Hold an active position in Autopilot. When your Autopilot liquidity position is used to fill trades, you earn points based on the volume generated. The rate per dollar decreases as your cumulative volume grows — earlier volume earns more per dollar than later volume. There is no upper limit.
3. Swap via the Barter UI
Execute swaps through the Barter user interface. The same decreasing rate applies as with Autopilot volume. A daily cap limits how many points can be earned from this source per day, additional swaps beyond the cap are not counted.
4. Refer Users
Invite wallets using your invite code. Once they are active, you automatically receive a 5% share of all the points they earn from any source. This requires no further action on your part.
Referral System
Invite codes are unlimited — share your code as widely as you want. Post it on Twitter, send it to friends, bring your community into Autopilot. Every active wallet under your code earns you passive points with no cap.
How referral points work. When a wallet you referred earns points from any source, you automatically receive 5% of those points added to your own balance daily — no action required. The more active your referrals, the more you earn passively.
You can increase your referral share by unlocking the Network Power branch of the Coin Tree. Higher nodes raise the percentage you receive. Unlocking higher tiers of the Coin Tree's Network Power branch can increase your referral share to up to 18%. At deeper levels, second-level referrals unlock, meaning you also earn a share of points from your referrals' referrals.
Achievements → Coins
During Season 1, you earn Coins by completing Achievements. These Coins are spent in the Coin Tree to unlock point multipliers. There are five Achievement categories, each with five levels:

A fourth branch in tree is reserved for future plans. It is not yet active.
Sybil Protection
The program includes several layers of protection to ensure that points reflect genuine economic participation rather than artificial volume inflation
Note. These mechanisms are automated. They do not eliminate all edge cases, but they make artificial manipulation economically less efficient than genuine participation. Authentic on-chain activity will always outperform fabricated volume under this structure.
Discord Activity & Content Creation
Active community members can earn additional points through the Barter Discord server.
Join the server and share your content: trading recaps, threads, tutorials, analyses, anything related to Barter and Autopilot in the #your-content channel. Active contributors are rewarded with Discord points. Additional points are available through quests, challenges and other tasks that appear regularly in the server.

At the end of Season 1, wallets connected to Discord accounts (this feature is coming soon) with qualifying roles will receive a points update.
